The majority of young women seeking the services of Florence Crittenton are keeping their children, often without adequate social or monetary resources. Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Inc. (LOR) is a non-profit organization that provides services to children where social and government services leave off. Working directly with other non-profits and government agencies to identify the individual needs of these neglected children, LOR intervenes at critical junctures with products and services such as: providing clothes, toiletries, and school supplies for the immediate needs of children entering the system and creating libraries and recreation rooms at emergency children's shelters.

The Junior League of Charleston, Inc., is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of volunteers. It is one of nearly 300 Leagues worldwide dedicated to these purposes. Since 1923, the Charleston League has served our community by developing collaborative programs with other community agencies and serving as a catalyst for positive change in areas ranging from education to child abuse to feeding the homeless.
